Raising three children while starting a business was tough, and I constantly felt like there wasn’t enough time to get everything done. Being diagnosed with a terminal illness was a serious wake up call. Not knowing how much time I have left has made me realise that my time is precious, I’ll never have it again, and I need to make a conscious effort to manage it.

It’s not a relay race, no one is going to give you a medal for how much money you make and there is no finish line – this race can end anytime so best slow down and enjoy what you’re doing. When I start to feel stressed I try to remind myself that we work to live, not the other way round.

You don’t find time, you have to make it.
